Home Page

When you log into the portal, the Home Page automatically shows all your patients with completed, scheduled, and in progress exams in a 90-day timeframe. You can filter the display results by common attributes, such as patient name, timeframes, modality, and ordering provider. The current filters are highlighted in yellow. A “Now Showing” sentence summarizes the current filters that control the display results.

Create a custom tab to view patient exam results in a way that makes sense to you. Click the Add New Tab button to name and select filter settings. You can create as many tabs as you like. Filtering by patient name allows you to quickly find a specific patient. When you begin to type a patient’s name, a quick-pick list appears displaying patients that match your input. Select a patient or finishing typing, then click the Filter Button to see results. Broaden or narrow the display results by clicking on common timeframes. Broaden or narrow the display results by selecting exam types. Broaden or narrow results by selecting other providers. Click the checkboxes to select or deselect providers. Click the Refresh Icon to make sure your display results are up-to-the-minute. A time stamp indicates when the data was last refreshed. Click on a patient name to go to the Patient Detail Page to see reports and images for that patient. One-Click Icons provide quick access to reports and images. Clicking on the icon will launch a new browser window to show the report or image for the selected patient’s exam.

Search

Search offers a broad set of attributes to find patients.

By default, the portal only shows your patients (and patients of other providers in your practice). However, you can broaden a search to include patients and providers outside of your practice. Click the checkbox to enable searching for patients and providers outside your practice. The background will change to remind you of special privacy and auditing requirements for viewing protected patient health information.

Imaging Group Search

Search for patient exams that were acquired at any RadNet imaging group and location. The portal gives you access to patient exams across multiple imaging groups.

Click the Search Button to complete the search. Not all fields are required. Click the Clear Link to remove the search query and return to the default display results.

Patient Detail Page

The Patient Detail Page shows the complete exam history for the patient. Selecting an exam will provide access to its report and images.

Shows the selected patient, with demographic details and lists all scheduled, in process, and completed exams, sorted by date. The list shows exams acquired at any RadNet imaging group. Get a broader view of the patient's imaging history by reading reports and viewing images—no matter where the patient was seen. Click the Report Tab to view the selected exam’s report. Click the Images Tab to view the selected exam’s images. Click the Back Icon to return to the previous search page results. Click the Download Icon to download a PDF of the report. Click the Print Icon to print the report.\ Click the Add to Folder Icon to add the exam to the currently selected custom folder.

Report Tab

As soon as the patient’s final report is approved, it is made available in the portal. The portal contains the same report that is sent to your practice through other communication channels, i.e., fax or mail.

Click the Expand Icon to view the report’s specifications and metadata. Click the Download Report Icon to download a PDF of the report. Name the report PDF, and click the checkbox to agree to protect patient health information. Then, click the Download Report Button. Click the Print Report Icon to launch a print-friendly view of the report, that you can print using the browser’s print function. When the reading radiologist creates key images for an exam, the key images will display on the report tab. Click the Key Image Thumbnail to view the image. Key images will launch in the Quick Viewer Window.

Images Tab

The Images Tab shows all images acquired during the patient’s exam, organized in series.

View image thumbnails in carousel mode—scrolling to see images within a series. Or, view image thumbnails in list mode—seeing all images within a series in one view. The portal provide several ways to view images:

1. The Quick Viewer displays a large, static view of the selected image.
2. The Web Viewer displays images directly in the Images Tab within your browser. The Web Viewer provides a basic set of controls to view and manipulate images.
3. The Full Viewer is a full-featured application that displays diagnostic-quality DICOM images. The Full Viewer must be downloaded and installed on your computer. (A download link is provided on the Images Tab)

To view an image, click on any image thumbnail. If you click in the lower-right corner of the thumbnail, the image will open in the Quick Viewer (indicated by a green highlight). If you click elsewhere on the image thumbnail (indicated by a yellow highlight), the image will open in either the Full Viewer or the Web Viewer, depending on the current view-mode you have set. To set the view-mode, click the toggle button to switch between the Web Viewer and the Full Viewer. Note: You can also launch images by clicking on the Image Viewer icon, which opens all image series in the currently selected image viewer.

eRAD Web Viewer

The eRAD Web Viewer is a browser-based image viewer. It allows you to view images directly within the portal from the Images Tab.

In image mode, the viewer provides many different features to view and manipulate images. Most features are “location-sensitive”— available only when you click or drag on specific edges or areas of the screen. Image mode shows a single series—one image at a time. To switch to series mode, click the upper corners of the image area, under the patient name area. Series mode shows all the series available for the selected exam. To switch to image mode, click on the series thumbnail. For your convenience, pop-up help shows you available controls, specific to an edge or location of the screen. Double-click the Help Icon to turn on/off pop-up help.

eRAD Full Viewer

The eRAD Full Viewer is a full-featured application that displays diagnostic quality DICOM images. You can view images using the Full Image Viewer by changing the view-mode toggle, located on the Images Tab, from "WEB" to "FULL". Before you can use the Full Image Viewer, you must download and install the viewer software on a Windows-based PC.

The Grid Tool allows you to alter the display format by selecting the number of image series to display within the screen grid. The Tile Tool allows you to select the number of images within a series to display within a tile. To scroll through the selected image series, select the image series by clicking on the visible image. Then, roll the mouse wheel forward and backward, or hold down the left mouse button while moving the mouse forward and backward. (You can also use the arrow up and arrow down button on your keyboard). To change window and level (brightness and contrast), hold down the right mouse button while moving the mouse up, down, left, and right. If more than one image series appears in the thumbnail window, you can move the series of interest into the viewing window, by dragging and dropping the series into the viewing area. The series originally in the viewing area will be replaced, but will remain available in the thumbnail window.

Messages Page

You can receive messages, alerts, and warnings from the portal. You can also send secure messages to the portal.

The message icon on the Main Toolbar will display the number of unread messages in your inbox. The message inbox shows you all the messages you have received from the portal. A circle in front of the message indicates the message has not been read. There are three types of messages: red for warnings, yellow for alerts, and blue for standard messages. If you need to communicate with the portal’s Web Team, use the portal to send messages securely. Email communication may not be secured and could compromise protected health information.

When system alerts and warning messages are sent by the portal, you will receive a pop-up ribbon to notify you a new message has been received.

My Folder Page

Add exams to custom folders for convenient access in the future. Name your folders in ways that make sense to you to help you organize an exam archive.

Add exams to a folder from the Report or Image Tab on the Patient Detail Page. Select a folder from the drop-down menu and click the Add to Folder Icon. The exam currently displayed will be added to the selected folder. Remove exams from a folder by clicking the Remove from Folder icon. Edit the name of a current folder or delete it by clicking the Edit link. In the dialog box, edit the folder’s name and click Save. Or, delete the folder by clicking the “Delete Folder” link.
